Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 21, 2026

You are reading the official terms of service for Local Map Ranking Simplified. We built this platform to share the operational realities of Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization. By accessing localmaprankingsimplified.com, you agree to be bound by these rules. If you disagree with any part of this agreement, close the tab. We keep our terms direct. No legal jargon. Just clear boundaries.

Intellectual Property and Content Ownership

We write every word on this site. We test local SEO strategies, document the friction, and publish the raw results. The guides, case studies, map pack frameworks, and citation checklists on this site belong entirely to us. You can’t scrape our site. You can’t copy our NAP consistency audits and pass them off as your own agency’s proprietary work.

You can link to our resources. You can quote short excerpts if you provide a clear, do-follow link back to the original page. Stealing content triggers an immediate DMCA takedown notice. We monitor our backlink profile weekly. We find stolen content quickly.

Zero exceptions.

Accuracy of Information and Tactical Decay

Local search changes fast. Google updates its proximity signals and review velocity filters constantly. A tactic that worked perfectly last spring might trigger a spam filter today. We publish what works for us right now based on active client campaigns. We update old guides when we find the time. We don’t guarantee that a two-year-old article reflects the current algorithm.

You must apply critical thinking. If we detail a strategy for optimizing your GBP Q&A section, test it on a low-stakes property first. We provide this site strictly for educational purposes. We are not your agency. We are not your consultants unless you hire us directly.

Disclaimer of Warranties and Guarantees

We don’t guarantee you will hit the Local 3-Pack. Anyone promising guaranteed map pack rankings is lying to you. We provide this site “as is” without warranties of any kind.

Your results depend on your specific market, your competitors, and your execution. We don’t promise our methods will work for a highly competitive personal injury lawyer in Chicago the same way they work for an HVAC contractor in Phoenix. The local search environment is volatile. A competitor might open a new office closer to the searcher. Google might redefine the city center. You have to adapt to the terrain.

You own the risk of implementing these strategies.

Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for your business outcomes. If a Google core update tanks your GBP visibility, you can’t hold us responsible. If you build spammy citations across low-quality directories and trigger a manual penalty, that falls entirely on you.

Google suspends profiles for minor infractions. A sudden address change, a keyword-stuffed business name, or a random glitch in their system can take your listing offline. We are not responsible if your profile gets suspended after you apply our advice. Under no circumstances will Local Map Ranking Simplified, its owners, or its authors be liable for lost revenue, lost leads, damaged domain authority, or suspended Google Business Profiles resulting from your use of our content.

We share our playbook. You execute it. The consequences belong to you.

Affiliate Disclosure and Financial Transparency

We recommend specific tools for citation building, rank tracking, and review management. We only recommend software we actually use in our daily operations. We run actual client campaigns through these platforms for at least 90 days before mentioning them here. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy a subscription, we earn a small commission.

This doesn’t cost you extra. It funds our testing. We rejected 14 different local rank trackers before settling on the two we currently endorse. We never let affiliate payouts dictate our recommendations. We value the signal over the noise. If a tool stops working or their customer support drops off, we remove the link. We prioritize our reputation over a quick commission.

User Conduct and Community Standards

We encourage debate. We welcome pushback from other SEO practitioners in our comment sections. We don’t tolerate spam.

If you drop generic comments stuffed with exact-match anchor text linking to your client’s plumbing site, we will delete it. Treat this space like a professional workshop. Bring data. Share real experiences. Leave the automated spam bots at the door. We ban IP addresses that repeatedly attempt to spam our forms.

Third-Party Links and External Resources

We frequently link to Google’s official documentation, local search patents, and other reputable SEO blogs. We don’t control those websites. We are not responsible for their content, their privacy practices, or their accuracy. A link from our site to an external resource doesn’t imply a blanket endorsement of everything that site publishes. Read their terms if you have concerns.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms operate under the laws of the jurisdiction where our primary operations reside. Any legal disputes regarding this website will be handled in those local courts. We prefer resolving issues through direct communication. Email us first. Most disagreements stem from simple misunderstandings. We fix those quickly.

Modifications to These Terms

We update these terms when necessary. The local search environment shifts. Our operational scope expands. When we change these rules, we update the effective date at the top of this page. We don’t send out mass emails for minor administrative updates. Check this page periodically. Continued use of the site means you accept the current terms.
